I recently ran a competition across my social media pages where the lucky winner would receive a complimentary dog portrait session along with a fine-art print and a number of digital-enhanced files. After having a fantastic number of entrants over a couple of weeks a winner was picked (at random), and that winner was... Herbie the French Bulldog!
We got the session booked in for a couple of weeks later, where Herbie and (his owners) would be heading down to have his first pet photoshoot in Bristol.
The big day arrives and we'd settled on taking Herbie for a stroll around Blaise Castle, I really enjoy doing my dog photoshoots there as there's such a big variety of backdrops available for my portrait shots; open fields, woodland, castle?! What's not to love?
Herbie was extremely well behaved throughout the shoot as long as his owners didn't stray too far from his side and he also got lots of attention from passers by. We managed to get so much beautiful photos in a number of locations and styles, even some action shots.
At the end of the day Herbie's owners were thrilled with the photographs we got of their handsome dog and are now displaying a variety of them throughout their home as beautiful artwork.
